Description: Vonage is a voice over IP (VOIP)phone system that is set up to run through your high-speed Internet connection.
Review: I had seen the commercials on TV for Vonage. For the longest time I would just watch the commercial, think about how cheap it was and wish I had all those extras without having to pay those higher costs. One day I just decided to check it out and boy am I glad I did.
For one low monthly price I not only get a good phone service but included in that service are things like voice mail, caller ID, call waiting and forwarding along with 16 other free features. No they aren’t extra they are included in your low monthly fee. How can you beat that?
With Vonage I was able to use my current phone and keep my phone number. I just attached the phone adapter and hooked up the router and I was ready to go. It was so easy even I could accomplish it and I’m not an electronic guru believe me. Also with the Vonage V-phone I can make calls from any PC anywhere. I just carry it around on my key chain then when I need to use it I just plug it into the computer and I have my phone.
Vonage is really a neat idea for a phone company. Because their rates are so low and include not only local calls but long distance calls you can save tons of money on your phone bill. I like all the added features at no cost and the fact that I have access to them through my computer anytime I need them. Their customer service is great and they are always there to answer my questions. If you have high speed Internet try Vonage. It’s free for the first month so what do you have to lose.
Criticism: Vonage is not available everywhere so be sure to check with them to see if it’s available in your area. Also 911 calls are made a little differently and cannot be accessed from every place Vonage is available. Be sure to check with them about this disadvantage also.
